Gary Forcier

Gary Forcier is a lifelong resident of Hutchinson. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1977. In 1988, Gary purchased a small business, Crow River Glass. Gary and his wife Angie have raised three sons in Hutchinson including, Dan, AJ and Jon.

Gary was a volunteer firefighter for the Hutchinson Fire Department for 23 years obtaining the highest rank of Assistant Chief. He is an active referee for wrestling and was a coach for Silver Lake, Glencoe-Silver Lake, and Hutchinson High School wrestling. As a business owner and an elected official, he has sponsored youth athletics in Hutchinson.

In 2008, Gary received the Distinguished Service Award from the Hutchinson Jaycees. He was elected to the Hutchinson City Council in 2012. Gary was elected Mayor of Hutchinson in November, 2014 and took office in January of 2015.

Bill Arndt

Bill Arndt began his post as council member in January, 2003. The Hutchinson native has served the community for many years including ten years on the Hutchinson Planning Commission and six years on the Joint Planning Commission. He also serves on the McLeod County Fair Board and is a snowmobile safety trainer. Arndt retired from 3M in the early 1990s. His interests include traveling to Denmark to help out on his daughter’s farm, fishing and farming a 300-acre farm west of Hutchinson. He and his wife Joan have three grown children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Council Vice President, Joint Planning Board, Planning Commission, Mid-Minnesota Development Commission, and McLeod County Solid Waste Committee.

 

John Lofdahl

John moved to Hutchinson from Minneapolis in 1989, he graduated from Minneapolis
South High school in 1972 and joined the United States Navy in 1974. After his discharge he
worked various construction related jobs and attended the University of Minnesota graduating in
1985 with a B.A. in Chemistry. He has been a licensed residential building contractor for 20+
years and has been actively involved with Crow River Habitat for Humanity since 1994. John
spent almost ten years on the Hutchinson Planning Commission before being elected to the City
Council beginning his first term in January of 2015.

In his spare time John likes to read about history and science, hunt waterfowl and
upland game, participate in historical reenactment events related to the fur trade in Minnesota/
Upper Midwest and travel when possible with his wife Julie. John and Julie have two sons, Eric
and Weston.

Mary Christensen

Mary Christensen is currently a part time certified stager and re-design expert for Hometown Realty in Hutchinson. Mary retired from a 34 yr career at 3M in Hutchinson. Christensen has been active in community and city affairs for many years. She currently is serving as President of the Historic Hutchinson Board, serves on her church council and previously served as a board member for the Hutchinson Theatre Company and as a past President of GFWC Woman's Club of Hutchinson. Mary also served on the City's Sales Tax committee.

Mary is a lifelong resident of Hutchinson. Mary's interests are her love of her family and her community. Mary is an avid flower gardener. Decorating, volunteering and reading are just a few of her passions. She is married to Jim, another lifelong resident, and they have two grown daughters.

Hutchinson EDA, Library Board, PRCE Board, Chair for the Public Arts Commission, and Resource Allocation Committee.

 

Chad Czmowski

Chad Czmowski is the owner and manager of Outdoor Motion Bike Shop in downtown Hutchinson. He has owned the shop since 2003. Prior to working at Outdoor Motion, Czmowski worked at Quality Bicycle Products in Bloomington, MN. Chad earned a B.S. in Social Studies education from the University of North Dakota in 2002. In his free time Chad enjoys kayaking, motorcycling, and camping.
