City Engineer

City of Hutchinson seeks to fill a Full Time City Engineer position.  This is a management and professional position that directs the engineering services for the City.  Duties include coordinating and supervising planning, design and construction of public/private municipal infrastructure.  Coordinating with City Officials and directors concerning application of local, state and federal regulations.  Preparing annual budget request and written reports.  Presentations to various boards or committees.  Requires Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus four years of engineering experience in a municipal or related work environment; must be registered as a Professional Engineer in MN and the ability to maintain certification or able to obtain within 6 months.  Must have a valid driver’s license.   Desire specialized training in related areas and five years or more of related experience, plus thorough knowledge of engineering principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting.  2024 Wage:  $89,724.96-$119,641.60/year.   Competitive benefit package.  Complete job description, required application packet available below, City Center, 111 Hassan ST SE, Hutchinson MN 55350; 320.234.5608 or e-mail: [email protected].   Apply by Friday, May 17, 2024.

Head Lifeguard

Starting pay is $16.20 per hour.  Head Lifeguards are responsible for the supervision of lifeguard staff and patrons and maintaining a safe aquatic center environment.  Reports to the Aquatic & Recreation Programmer.

Lifeguard/WSI Instructor

Starting pay is $14.25 per hour.  Responsible for monitoring the pool, deck and park patrons to maintain a safe aquatic center environment, and providing swimming instruction.  Must be a certified lifeguard and 15 years of age or older by May 2024.  WSI Instructors must be 16 years of age or older.

These are seasonal positions beginning in May and ending in September, unless otherwise noted.  Scheduled shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.  The Hutchinson Aquatic Center is open 7 days per week.  It is an outdoor facility, requiring work in all types of weather conditions.
