An open house was held on June 6th and Nov. 1st to obtain feedback from the public and gather information on the highway corridor. Public input was used to define the study goals, identify issues and opportunities to be addressed, set priorities for future public improvements, and suggest guidelines for future reinvestment or new development. A Highway 7 Corridor Study Advisory Panel was also established to guide the planning process. A joint workshop of the Planning Commission and City Council was also held October 9, 2007, to review the recommendations of the study. An open house on Nov. 1, 2007, was also held to present the draft plan and obtain public comments.
The public hearing on the final draft of the plan was held at the Dec. 18, 2007, Planning Commission meeting. The City Council approved the final plan at their December 27, 2007, meeting. The adopted Highway 7 Corridor Study, Small Area Plan, and associated market study are listed below.
