Job Posting for Seasonal/Temporary Rec Center Attendant
Responsible include opening and closing of the Recreation Center facilities, providing customer service to all visitors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, athletic equipment/room setup and take down, general cleaning duties, basic office duties, and may work concessions, as needed. Requires strong customer service, communication skills, and basic math skills along with experience working in a monetary operations system. Desire previous customer service experience, the ability to understand and carry out directions, work independently, communicate effectively with program participants, community members and staff; be versatile, flexible, friendly and cooperative. Considerable public contact. Generally inside work but may occasionally be required to work in all types of weather conditions, and all types of noise levels. This position is scheduled as needed, from limited hours up to 40 hours per week. Positions needed for winter/spring sport seasons – September to May. Minimum Starting Pay Rate $7.25/hour. Duties include opening and closing of the arena facilities, provides customer service to all visitors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, resurfaces ice rinks, general cleaning and custodial duties, supervising open skating, and necessary paperwork. Must be 18 years of age to operate and maintain the ice resurfacing equipment. See description for other required and desired qualifications. Position includes considerable contact with the public, generally inside work in temperatures required for ice arena, and may occasionally be required to work in all types of weather conditions, and all types of noise levels. This position may be scheduled for a few hours up to 40 hours per week, depending on the facility needs. Positions needed for winter ice season - late September to early March. Seasonal / Temporary Gymnastics Aide

The City of Hutchinson Park and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the seasonal/temporary position of Gymnastics Aide. Duties include assisting the Gymnastics Instructor in teaching individual participants or groups of participants in a variety of basic gymnastic skills, drills and movements, insuring that safety precautions are observed in activities, and assisting with the set-up and clean-up of the site and equipment necessary for activities. Requires customer service and communication skills. Previous gymnastics experience desired, but not required. Limited part time work hours scheduled around gymnastics programs. Evening and weekend hours.

The City of Hutchinson, Minnesota, seeks qualified, accomplished and talented candidates for the position of Planning Director. Responsibilities include coordination of all City planning, zoning and building code enforcement activities. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Planning or related field and 5 years progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in municipal government, planning and zoning, business, industrial development, or a related field; thorough knowledge of municipal planning principles and procedures, local and state legislation, public administrative principles relative to municipal planning and zoning, annexations, and economic development principles, procedures, and funding sources; and practical working knowledge of building and construction codes, regulations, and practices. Excellent communications, presentation, and computer skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships required. Supervisory experience in building enforcement and AICP certification highly desired. Competitive salary range ($63,850 - $91,786 annual) and benefit package.
