Position plans, organizes and directs activities in all phases of parks, recreation and community education, including recreational programming, community education programming and recreational/parks facility management. Requires Bachelor’s Degree in parks and/or recreation administration, sports management, or equivalent, and 5-8 years of relative experience in a parks and recreation and/or community education setting. Desire Master’s Degree in parks and/or recreation administration, sports management or equivalent and significant experience at a director/management level (10 years of experience). The City of Hutchinson seeks qualified applicants to fill (3) Seasonal Building Attendant positions. Duties: Greets and assists public, opens and closes facility, enforces policies and rules, sets up/takes down facility and athletic equipment, general cleaning duties, performs litter and snow removal outside of building, lift 50 lbs., maintains a balanced cash drawer, completes paperwork and reports. Required qualifications: possess customer service and communication skills, basic math skills along with experience working in a monetary operations system. Desired qualifications: customer service experience, ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions, communicate effectively, be flexible, friendly and cooperative, independently initiate and complete work activities.
